Ice Candles

MATERIALS
Paraffin
Broken crayons
Cardboard orange juice can or milk carton
Ice cubes
Cotton string (or a wick)

DIRECTIONS
Melt wax in a double boiler.
Braid three long strands of cotton string. Dip the string in the wax and put it in the freezer for a minute to harden. Stand the string up in center of juice can and pour a small amount of wax in the bottom of can. Put the can in the freezer for 10 minutes remove until the wax hard. Fill the can with ice cubes, making sure the wick is in the center.
Fill the can with melted wax to about 1/2 inch from the top.
Wait for the ice cubes to melt and the wax to harden.
Pour off the water.
Remove cardboard from around candle.
